Contour mats are the piece people get wrong. Measure the width of your pan at floor level and the depth from the wall to the front of the base, then check against the 40 x 50 cm. Push the U in until it meets the pan and smooth the two arms flat — fitted properly it looks tailored, and it covers the exact patch of floor that actually gets splashed. A contour mat that gapes at the sides is the single most common reason these go back.
Relief woven in, not printed on
The geometric pattern is jacquard — the shapes sit at a different pile height from the background rather than being printed on the surface. It cannot wear off where you stand, there is no second colour to fade or bleed, and the raised sections give wet feet more to grip than a flat pile would. In a single grey it reads as texture rather than pattern, which is why it works in a bathroom that already has tiles doing something.
