Taupe does what grey cannot
Grey is the safe bathroom neutral, and in a room full of white tile and chrome it can tip into cold. Taupe has brown in it, so it warms everything up — it works with oak vanities, wicker baskets, brass taps and cream walls, and it stops a very plain bathroom looking clinical. Will the contour mat fit my toilet?
Measure the width of your pan at floor level and the depth from the wall to the front of the base, and check them against the 40 x 50 cm. Push the U in until it meets the pan and smooth the arms flat — a snug fit is what makes it look tailored rather than approximate.
How do I wash them?
Cool wash, no fabric softener, air dry flat. Heat damages the granular backing, so no tumble dryer. Wash all three together to keep the taupe consistent across the set.
