Diatom mud, which is why it dries itself
Diatom mud is a soft rock full of microscopic pores. It pulls water off your feet on contact and holds it inside, where it evaporates on its own — so the surface feels dry again within minutes and there's no pile to go musty. The rubber foam layer below gives it enough flex that it lies flat on an uneven floor instead of rocking, and the rubber sole grips tile without marking it.
Three millimetres, so nothing catches
Thin enough to sit under an inward-opening door and flat enough that the paws and ears don't lift at the edges, which is where die-cut mats usually give themselves away. It rolls up to store, and cleaning is a wipe with a damp cloth — no washing machine, no drying rack.
