Grip on both faces
The suction cups on the underside bond to a smooth shower tray and hold the mat still. The raised bubbles on top do the other half of the job — they break the film of water between the tray and your sole, so your foot grips the mat rather than sliding across it. Will the suction cups hold in my shower?
They need a smooth, non-porous surface — a standard acrylic or stone resin tray is ideal. They will not grip a textured anti-slip tray or a tiled wet room floor with grout lines. Wet the cups and press the mat down from the middle outwards.
Can I use it on the bathroom floor instead?
Only on smooth tile, and it won't absorb anything — water passes straight through it. For drying your feet after a shower you still want an absorbent mat outside the tray; this one is for standing on while the water is running.
Washing:
- Machine wash your bath mat at a maximum of 30°C on a gentle cycle, or hand wash, to protect the fibres and keep the colours vibrant.
- Use a mild detergent and avoid bleach or fabric softener, as these can damage the non-slip backing.
