    Description & Features

A non slip bath mat for showers that's mostly holes

Large open circles across the entire surface, so there's more gap than mat. Water doesn't drain through it so much as fall through it, which means nothing collects underneath and the tray beneath stays as clean as the mat.

    Features

    Material TPE
    Drainage Large open circles throughout
Underside Suction cups, 1.5 cm (0.6 in) diameter
    Size 43 x 75 cm (16.9 x 29.5 in)
    Colour Blue

    TPE rather than PVC

Worth knowing, because most mats in this category are flexible PVC and TPE is the better material for a bathroom. Flexible PVC needs plasticisers added to make it bend; TPE is flexible on its own, so there's nothing in it to migrate out over time, and it stays supple for longer rather than stiffening and cracking at the fold. It's also recyclable, which PVC effectively isn't. The trade is cost, which is why it's the less common of the two.

    Bigger cups, fewer of them

At 1.5 cm across, these suction cups are roughly double the diameter of the ones on a standard mat. A larger cup grips harder individually, so the mat holds with fewer points of contact — which is what leaves room for drainage holes this size. Three sizes cover most setups: 53 x 53 cm for a square tray, 43 x 75 cm for a standard bath base, and 60 x 90 cm for a walk-in. See the rest of our non slip bath mats, or our blue bath mats for the absorbent mat outside the shower.

    FAQ

Will it hold on my tray?
It needs a smooth, non-porous surface — standard acrylic and stone resin trays and enamel baths are ideal. It won't grip a textured anti-slip tray or a tiled wet room floor with grout lines. Wet the cups first and press down from the centre outwards.

    Does it need much cleaning?
Far less than a solid mat. With this much open area nothing pools underneath, so there's no trapped film for mould to start in — a rinse under the shower head and hanging it up is usually enough.

    Care instructions

    Washing:

    • Machine wash your bath mat at a maximum of 30°C on a gentle cycle, or hand wash, to protect the fibres and keep the colours vibrant.
    • Use a mild detergent and avoid bleach or fabric softener, as these can damage the non-slip backing.
    • Wash your bath mat separately to prevent colour transfer.

    Drying:

    • Air drying is recommended to preserve the shape and texture of your bath mat.
    • If tumble drying is necessary, use a low heat setting only.
    • Avoid drying your bath mat in direct sunlight to minimise fading.

    Assistance:

    • For specific care advice or help with stubborn stains, please don't hesitate to contact our customer service team. We'll be happy to help you keep your bath mat in perfect condition.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about our bath mats.

Yes. All our bath mats feature a non-slip backing designed to grip securely on tiles, laminate and vinyl flooring. For the best grip, place your non-slip bath mat on a clean, dry floor and check the backing regularly.

Most of our bath mats are machine washable at 30°C on a gentle cycle. Use a mild detergent, avoid bleach and fabric softener, and air dry to protect the non-slip base. Full details are in the care instructions above.

It depends on your space. A small bath mat (around 40 x 60 cm) suits compact bathrooms and en-suites, a standard mat fits most bathrooms, while a large bath mat or extra large bath mat works best in front of walk-in showers, double sinks or freestanding baths. Check the dimensions listed on each product page.

Bath mats are designed to sit outside the bath or shower to absorb water and protect your floor. If you need a mat for inside the shower or bathtub, choose a rubber shower mat with suction cups instead.

Our absorbent bath mats are made to soak up water fast and dry quickly between uses. To speed up drying, hang your mat over the bath or a towel rail after use and keep your bathroom ventilated.

We recommend washing your bathroom mat once a week, or every two weeks with light use. Regular washing prevents moisture build-up, keeps the fibres fresh and extends the life of your mat.
