Each leaf is tufted in its own shade, which is why the colours look layered rather than flat and why the pattern still reads properly when the pile is pressed down underfoot. It also means washing takes dirt out without taking colour with it — there's no printed surface to fade. Deep greens are usually the first to grey off on a bath mat, so having the colour go all the way through each tuft matters more here than on a pale design.
Washes and tumble dries
Straight into the machine, then into the dryer on low. That's unusual for a bath mat and it comes down to the backing, which stays flexible instead of going brittle and cracking the way latex does. Is it as soft as it looks?
Yes. The fibres are fine enough to bend and cluster around your foot rather than standing up stiffly, so it feels closer to a deep pile rug than to a towel.
Will the dark greens run in the wash?
Wash it on its own for the first couple of cycles at 30°, as you would any deeply dyed textile. After that it can go in with other darks.
