The surface is a plush microfibre quilted into wide channels, bound with a dark trim that keeps the edge from fraying, and the whole thing goes in the washing machine when it needs it. At 40 x 50 cm it suits a compact bathroom or cloakroom.

Features

Size

40 x 50 cm (15.7 x 19.7 in)

Shape

U-shaped cutout for around the toilet

Colour

Black

Surface

Plush microfibre, quilted in wide channels

Edge

Bound trim

Backing

Non-slip base

Care

Machine washable, quick drying

The One Mat Worth Washing Often

The mat around the toilet takes more than any other piece in the bathroom, which is why it is worth having one you can throw in the machine without thinking about it. This one washes and dries quickly, so it can go in with a normal load and be back down the same day — no waiting two days for a thick pile to dry out. Black is the sensible colour for this spot: it hides what pale mats show, and it reads as deliberate next to a white suite rather than apologetic. The U is cut for a standard close-coupled or back-to-wall pan, and on a 40 cm wide mat it leaves an arm either side. A wide or unusually shaped pan may push those arms out of position.

Can I tumble dry it?
Machine washing is fine on a cool, gentle cycle. Air dry it flat or over a rail rather than tumble drying — heat is what damages a non-slip backing over time, and this mat dries quickly on its own.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1046/3733/3847/files/S94f3f0c8c17f44b0aa504ee3506d9733m.webp?v=1791291667
