The mat is cut with a U-shaped opening so it wraps around the base of the pan, and underneath the print there are five bonded layers doing the actual work.

Features

Size

50 x 55 cm (19.7 x 21.7 in)

Shape

U-shaped contour, rounded back

Colours

Black with cream circles

Surface

Fibre layer, absorbs on contact

Core

Non-woven layer over rubber diatom foam

Sole

Non-slip rubber

Construction

Moulded as one piece, no glued seams to peel

Care

Wipe or rinse, dry flat

Five layers moulded as one

A fibre surface takes water off your feet, a bonding layer holds everything together, a non-woven layer carries the moisture down, a rubber diatom foam spreads it out so it evaporates rather than pooling, and a textured rubber sole grips the floor. Because the whole thing is moulded in one piece rather than glued in stages, there is no layer to lift at the corners — which is how most layered mats eventually fail.

The spot nobody plans for

The floor around the toilet gets splashed more than anywhere else in the bathroom and almost always goes uncovered, because a rectangular mat looks wrong there. A U-shaped cut fits around the pan and covers exactly the patch that needs it. Measure the width of your pan at floor level and the depth from the wall to the front of the base before ordering — fitted snugly it looks tailored, and a loose fit is the usual reason these go back.

FAQ

Can I put it in the washing machine?
No. Wipe or rinse the surface and stand it up to dry. Keep it away from heat, which hardens the rubber sole and can lift the edges.

Does black show dust?
Less than it shows water. A dark mat hides the splashes and marks this corner collects, which is exactly why it suits the spot — and the wipe-clean surface means dust comes off with a cloth in seconds rather than needing a wash.

Browse more in this colour in black bath mats, or see the rest of this size in small bath mats.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1046/3733/3847/files/S55a17be3a3bd488f8915bddbba5b01a5y.webp?v=1793968641
