Stretched out into a long narrow format it covers the full approach to a bath or a shower rather than one patch of floor, which is the difference between stepping onto something soft and stepping onto cold tile. Water goes in within about three seconds.

Features

Shape

Long runner, rounded corners

Colours

White, camel

Surface

Flannel, quilted into puffed pillows

Core

Breathable sponge interlayer

Backing

Textured PVC, non-slip

Absorbency

Takes up water in around 3 seconds

Washing

Machine washable

Why quilting matters on a long mat

The longer a padded mat is, the more the filling has room to migrate — which is how you end up with a mat that is thick at one end and flat in the middle. Stitching the surface into separate pillows locks each section in place, so the padding stays where it was put no matter how many times it goes through the machine. The valleys between the pillows also give water a route off the surface instead of sitting on top of it.

Three colours, all of them quiet

White for a bathroom you want to keep crisp, camel for one that needs warming up. None of them are loud — the interest is in the texture rather than the colour, which is why this works in a bathroom that already has patterned tiles or a strong paint colour doing the talking.

FAQ

Where does a runner this shape go?
Along the side of a bath, down the length of a narrow bathroom, or in front of a double vanity. Measure the clear floor first — a runner that is longer than the space looks cramped rather than generous, and one that stops short of the bath leaves the cold patch you were trying to cover.

How do I wash it?
Cool wash, no fabric softener, air dry flat. Heat is what damages the PVC backing, so keep it out of the tumble dryer and off radiators. Shake it out once dry to bring the pillows back up.

See the rest of this size in large bath mats, or browse more in this colour in white bath mats.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1046/3733/3847/files/S0e59c982aa2c464c857c27ea15d4d0b1I.webp?v=1791209171
