Underneath, the high-density diatom mud layer pulls that moisture through and spreads it out so it evaporates quickly rather than sitting in the pile, which is why the surface is usually dry again within seconds rather than minutes. The regenerated sponge layer is what gives the mat its cushioning, and the natural rubber base keeps it anchored on tiles without sliding when you step off the shower tray.

Because the surface is PVC rather than textile, cleaning is a one-wipe job: a damp cloth takes care of splashes and footprints, and the finish resists scratches and scuffs from everyday use. The floral pattern is printed, not woven, so it won't shed fibres or catch dirt the way a tufted mat can.
