curved-daisy-bath-mat
Curved daisy Bath Mat

A daisy bath mat cut to the shape of its own flowers

Nine daisies drawn in fine black outline on cream, overlapping each other — and the edge of the mat follows their petals, so the whole thing is shaped like a cluster of flowers rather than cut into a rectangle. It is quiet and graphic at the same time, which is a difficult trick. Underneath, the same three-layer build: a surface that takes water straight through, a diatom foam core that spreads it to evaporate, and a textured rubber sole.

Features

Size

45 x 100 cm (17.7 x 39.4 in)

Shape

Scalloped outline following the petals

Colours

Cream with black linework

Design

Printed overlapping daisies

Surface layer

Technical cloth, draws moisture straight through

Core

Rubber diatom foam — absorbs instantly, evaporates quickly

Sole

Textured anti-slip rubber

Chemicals

No substances of very high concern

Why the cut edge changes everything

A printed flower on a rectangular mat is a picture of flowers. Cutting the outline to follow the petals makes the mat itself the object — it reads as a shape on the floor rather than a rug with a pattern on it, and that is what makes a plain bathroom look like someone thought about it. It also softens a room full of straight lines: tiles, bath, shower screen, vanity, all rectangles, and then this.

Flowers without the florals

There is a version of this mat that would be pink, dense and sentimental. This is not it. The daisies are drawn in outline rather than filled in, the palette is cream and black, and the overall effect is closer to a line drawing than a floral print — so it suits a modern bathroom as easily as a cottage one, and it does not date the way a full-colour floral does.

FAQ

Will it fit in front of my shower?
At 45 x 100 cm it is long and narrow, which suits the strip of floor in front of a quadrant enclosure, a narrow bathroom, or the gap between a bath and a basin. Measure the clear floor depth — you want 45 cm free in front of whatever it sits against.

How do I clean it?
Wipe or rinse the surface and leave it to dry flat; it does not go in the washing machine. Keep it off hot radiators, as heat hardens the rubber sole and can lift the scalloped edge.

See more shapes like this in curved bath mats, or browse this colour family in white bath mats.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1046/3733/3847/files/Sc98ee5afb01e4e959cb2c1b79ed25161T.webp?v=1790948425
