The rest of the shell is a dense field of soft spikes, with two little raised discs near the top for working the arches, and suction cups underneath to hold it wherever you put it. Deeply silly, surprisingly practical.

Features

Size

43 x 45 cm (16.9 x 17.7 in)

Shape

Crab, with two fold-up claws and a scalloped claw edging

Colour

Blue

Material

PVC

Top surface

Soft bristles throughout, plus two raised massage discs with metal bead centres

Claws

Fold up for scrubbing feet, or detach for use elsewhere

Underside

Suction cups

Placement

Bath, shower tray or wall

Care

Rinse and hang to dry

Storage

Flexible enough to roll up

Three ways to use it

Flat on the floor of the bath, it is a non-slip mat with a bit of a massage to it. Press the claws upright and you have a foot scrubber that gets the sides and the top of the foot, not just the sole — useful if bending down in the shower is awkward. Stick it to the tiled wall at shoulder height and the bristles become a back scrubber you can lean into, which is the one nobody expects and everybody ends up using.

Getting the suction cups to hold

Suction cups need a smooth, clean, wet surface. Rinse away any soap film first, wet both the surface and the underside of the mat, then press firmly from the centre outwards until the cups bite. On textured tiles, grouted joins or a bath with a non-slip finish they will not hold — that is the surface, not the mat. Peel it off and hang it to dry between uses and the suction stays strong.

FAQ

Are the bristles hard?
No. They are soft and flexible, closer to a nail brush than anything scratchy, and they bend flat under your weight. If you want a firmer scrub, use the two raised discs near the top of the shell.

Can it go in the dishwasher or washing machine?
There is no need. One rinse under the shower clears it, and the surface dries quickly once it is hung up. Keep it out of very hot water so the PVC keeps its shape.

More designs like this in fun bath mats, and the full grip range in non slip bath mats.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1046/3733/3847/files/S00418963c02149e3af45353400bcd14eO.webp?v=1790080340
