There is a large mat for the bath, a medium one for the basin, and a contour mat with a U-shaped cut-out that wraps around the toilet base. Dark enough to hide everything a bathroom floor throws at it, textured enough not to look like a flat slab of grey.

Features

Set

3 pieces — 50 x 80 cm, 40 x 60 cm and a 40 x 50 cm contour mat

In inches

19.7 x 31.5 in, 15.7 x 23.6 in and 15.7 x 19.7 in

Contour mat

U-shaped cut-out to fit around a toilet base

Surface

100% polyester, jacquard diamond relief

Pile height

0.5 cm (0.2 in)

Colour

Charcoal

Backing

Granular non-slip

Tolerance

Measured by hand, allow 1-2 cm

Charcoal is the most forgiving colour in a bathroom

Pale mats show the mark by the door, the drip of conditioner, the patch where wet feet land every morning. Charcoal hides all of it, and because the pattern is a relief in a single colour there is nothing to fade unevenly or bleed into a lighter shade. It also holds its own against white sanitaryware and chrome without needing anything else in the room to match it.

Fitting the contour piece

Measure the width of your toilet pan at floor level and the depth from the wall to the front of the base before ordering, and check them against the 40 x 50 cm. Push the U-shape in until it meets the pan, then flatten the two arms. A contour mat that fits snugly looks tailored; one that gapes is the usual reason these get sent back.

FAQ

Is the pattern printed?
No. The diamonds are jacquard-woven at a different pile height from the background, so you can feel them underfoot and they cannot rub off where you stand. The raised sections also give wet feet more to grip than a flat pile.

How do I wash them?
Cool wash, no fabric softener, air dry flat — heat damages the granular backing. Wash the three pieces together so the charcoal stays consistent across the set.

See the

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1046/3733/3847/files/S9e229856e8964ea78c4b691344b6df9al.webp?v=1790948430
