bobble-surface-bath-mat
Bobble Surface Bath Mat

A biscuit bath mat packed with soft chenille bobbles

A warm caramel brown — biscuit is the right word for it — worked into hundreds of dense chenille bobbles that take the water off your feet the second you stand on them. It is the colour that warms up a cold grey bathroom without introducing a pattern, and the texture does the rest. Three bonded layers: the bobbled surface, a technical fibre layer that spreads moisture so it evaporates, and a hot-melt anti-slip base.

Features

Sizes

40 x 60 cm and 50 x 80 cm (15.7 x 23.6 in and 19.7 x 31.5 in)

Colour

Biscuit

Surface

Dense chenille bobbles, absorbs on contact

Middle layer

Technical fibre, spreads moisture to evaporate

Base

Hot-melt anti-slip, lies flush to the floor

Construction

Woven as one piece, holds its shape

Safety

Zero formaldehyde, no odour

A warm neutral that hides marks

Grey and white bathrooms are everywhere and they can read cold, especially in winter with no natural light. A mid-brown like this one brings the temperature of the room up, works with oak, rattan and brass, and — unlike cream — does not show every mark within a week. It is the practical warm neutral rather than the pretty one.

Bobbles dry, flat pile stays damp

Each bobble is a closed loop of chenille with air all around it, so water is taken up fast and then evaporates from the gaps between them. A dense flat pile holds the water at the surface and stays cold underfoot for hours. The loops also do not shed — nothing comes away in your hand or sticks to wet feet, which is the usual reason a plush mat starts looking tired.

FAQ

Will the backing survive washing?
The base is hot-melt bonded into the mat rather than glued on, so there is no seam to come apart and it does not crack and flake in the drum the way a glued backing does. Wash cool and air dry flat — heat is still the one thing to avoid.

How do I keep the bobbles full?
No fabric softener, cool wash, air dry rather than tumble dry, and shake it out once it is dry. The loops compress when you stand on them and spring back as they dry.

See the rest of this size in small bath mats, or browse the whole range of bath mats.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1046/3733/3847/files/Sa1063c05065d4c01ae95bcc3a98093be4.webp?v=1791209168
