Diatomite and PVC underneath, so it takes water in quickly and dries fast.

Features

Sizes

60 x 90 cm and 80 x 120 cm (23.6 x 35.4 in and 31.5 x 47.2 in)

Colours

Cream with orange, teal, blue and yellow

Design

Printed floral chintz with a central medallion and a bordered frame

Material

Diatomite and PVC

Absorbency

Strong water absorption, quick drying

Backing

Non-slip

Finish

Lint-free and dirt repellent

Washing

Machine washable

Big enough to behave like a rug

A print this detailed needs room — on a standard 50 x 80 cm mat the medallion and the border would be fighting for space. At 80 x 120 cm the whole composition reads properly: you see the centre, the scrolling stems and the frame as one design, and the mat covers the middle of the bathroom floor rather than sitting in front of the bath. The 60 x 90 cm works the same way in a smaller room.

Warm colours in a cold room

Bathrooms are tile, glass and porcelain, and they can read very cold. Burnt orange and teal against cream is about the warmest palette you can put on the floor without it looking twee — it picks up brass taps and dark wood, and it gives a plain white bathroom something to be about. The busy print also hides daily marks far better than any plain mat.

FAQ

How do I wash it?
Cool wash, no bleach, air dry flat. The 80 x 120 cm is a big mat, so check it fits your machine comfortably — otherwise a rinse and a flat dry is usually enough, helped by the dirt repellent finish.

Will the colours fade?
Keep it off hot radiators and out of long direct sunlight. The print sits on a dense felted surface rather than a pile, so there are no fibres to shift and blur it, and the colours hold well with cool washing.

See the rest of this size in large bath mats, or browse more in this colour family in blue bath mats.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1046/3733/3847/files/Sf7ed04f9967b4da1ba6f85180897f0efA.webp?v=1791467275
